St. James Traditional Joinery

My journey in woodworking began at a young age. During this time, my early dedication to the craft was recognized with a CITB award. This distinction marked the beginning of what would become a lifelong passion. Over the years, I worked alongside experienced carpentry and joinery professionals across various projects. Through this experience, I developed and honed my skills through hands-on experience and meticulous attention to detail. It was during these formative years that I made an important discovery. Specifically, I could bring a more refined and specialized approach to traditional woodworking. As a result, I learned to combine time-honored techniques with precision and craftsmanship.

This realization ultimately led me to operating my own joinery workshop in West Sussex. Today, I specialize in creating bespoke Doors, Windows and Wardrobes. These pieces blend traditional woodworking methods with modern precision techniques. By combining conventional joinery tools with contemporary technology, I’m able to achieve levels of accuracy and complexity that honor the craft’s heritage. At the same time, I embrace innovative capabilities.

From start to finish, I manage every stage of the creative process. This spans from initial design visualization through to meticulous cutting and hand-finishing. Throughout my work, I tackle diverse projects. These include crafting traditional bespoke doors and engineering intricate joinery solutions. Additionally, I bring each client’s unique vision to life. Regardless of scope, each project receives the same dedicated attention to quality and detail. This is the same dedication that earned me that first CITB recognition years ago. Ultimately, my approach remains rooted in craftsmanship. In this way, every piece is not just built, but thoughtfully created to stand the test of time.
